Cohen and the Cincinnati Zoo

Electronics waste (or e-waste) is the fastest growing waste stream in the world, estimating to increase by 30% over the next three years, which is why it's more important than ever to retire your old TVs, phones, computers, laptops and other electronics responsibly. (That means the total amount of waste produced worldwide would weigh as much as 200 Empire State Buildings.) All this waste can pollute the air, contaminate soil and leach into water supplies, posing major health risks.

But the good news is that nearly all electronics and their parts can be recycled or reused. And, you can help.

Tackling the challenge of e-waste together

As the #GreenestZooinAmerica, the Cincinnati Zoo recognizes the need to reduce e-waste and ensure that it properly retired which is why they chose Cohen as their official electronics recycling partner. The zoo has many programs in place to conserve energy and reduce waste, from composting to using only LEDs for the Festival of Lights, to using solar panels to power buildings.

Together, we are committed to make recycling easier and to reward our friends and customers for making responsible choices.

Even the animals know how to recycle!

Recycling is so common at the zoo that event some of the animals have learned how to do it.
